I’m Vicky Russ, a leadership and redundancy coach with over two decades of experience working at senior levels across the public, private, and third sectors.
I specialise in supporting professionals who have been made redundant, are at risk of redundancy, or are navigating the complex aftermath of organisational change. I understand how destabilising redundancy can be, particularly for people who are used to responsibility, momentum, and being relied upon.
I’ve experienced redundancy myself, more than once, and know first-hand how isolating it can be. In reality, you are often left to navigate the process alone, and it quickly becomes clear that HR’s role is to protect the organisation, not the individual.
Alongside my coaching work, I have also led large-scale restructures, worked closely with unions and employment lawyers, and developed a deep understanding of employment rights and redundancy processes from all sides of the table.
When I believed a redundancy process was unfair, I pursued my own employment tribunal. That experience, alongside my professional background, gave me a clear view of the emotional, practical, and legal realities people face when work falls away and your career, that you worked so hard to build, is in question.
I would have valued calm, credible support through every phase of that journey. That’s why I now bring my experience and highly developed coaching skills together to support others through redundancy, helping them stabilise, rebuild confidence, build resilence and make informed decisions about what comes next.
