The Five Day Ikigai Challenge Questionnaire

Ikigai Discovery Questionnaire Discover your Ikigai by reflecting on the four key elements: Passion, Mission, Vocation, and Profession. Use the questions below to explore each area and uncover your lifeโ€™s purpose.

Take a day to consider and reflect on your answers to each section.  Make notes and highlight any recurring word and themes from each day - this will be useful for day 5.

๐Ÿ’œ DAY 1. Passion โ€“ What You Love

Reflect on what brings you joy and deep satisfaction.

What activities make you lose track of time when youโ€™re doing them?

What topics could you talk about for hours without getting bored?

When do you feel most energized, fulfilled, or โ€˜in flowโ€™?

What did you love doing as a child or teenager before anyone told you what you โ€œshouldโ€ do?

What would you choose to do every day, even if no one paid you?

๐ŸŒ DAY 2. Mission โ€“ What the World Needs

Consider your sense of purpose and the contribution you want to make.

What injustices or social issues do you feel strongly about?

Who or what do you feel called to help, serve, or support?

If you could solve one problem in the world, what would it be?

What changes would you like to see in your community or the world?

What legacy would you like to leave behind?

๐ŸŒŸ DAY 3. Vocation โ€“ What You Are Good At

Identify your natural talents and developed skills

What do people often come to you for help with?

What tasks do you complete more easily or naturally than others?

What compliments or praise do you receive consistently?

Which skills or abilities have you honed through work, hobbies, or education?

What kind of challenges do you enjoy solving?

๐Ÿ’ผ DAY 4. Profession โ€“ What You Can Be Paid For

Explore how your skills can translate into income or sustainable work.

What services, products, or knowledge do people pay for that you could provide?

What roles or industries have you worked in where you felt competent?

Are there needs in the marketplace that align with your skills or interests?

What kind of work environments allow you to thrive?

How would you like to be compensated โ€“ money, freedom, flexibility, recognition, impact?

๐Ÿ”„ DAY 5. Integration โ€“ Finding Your Ikigai

Review your answers to find patterns, alignment, and purpose.

What are the recurring patterns, words, or ideas across your answers?

Where do your passions and strengths align with something the world needs?

Which activities or skills appear in more than one category?

If you had to name three core values that keep appearing in your responses, what would they be?

Imagine your ideal day doing work that fills you with purpose โ€“ what are you doing, who are you helping, and how are you contributing?
